The Stour

Boyne

A small tributary which rises at Boyne Hollow near Shaftesbury in Dorset and joins the Stirchel at Cann. 

Just above the confluence at Foot's Hill, Cann, is the remains of an old sheepwash (image, top). The brook would have powered Sprague's Mill until its demise in 1919.
