RIBSTON PIPPIN

Discovered in the gardens at Ribston Hall near Knaresborough, thought to have grown from a pip brought from Rouen and planted in about 1707. According to Scotts Nurseries it is “one of the most richly-flavoured apples, crisp, juicy and strongly aromatic”, and it boasts the highest vitamin C content of any apple.
