DEVONSHIRE QUARRENDEN

A very old variety mentioned in 1678; may take its name from Carentan, an apple growing district in France. It was extensively grown in the West Country where it tolerates the rain, beautiful polished dark crimson flush; refreshing flavour of strawberry or loganberry.
