Apple Day is celebrated at Bankside, London as October Plenty, organised by The Lions Part Theatre Co, with a procession from the Globe Theatre, and the significant presence of the Corn Queen decked with wheat, barley, apple and vegetables. Also appearing on this page are the Apple Day celebrations at Hill Farm, Hampshire, and No Man’s Orchard, Chartham Hatch, Kent. The wooden bench seen in one picture is in the form of a snake, and was made by local students to mark the boundary between two parishes.
